This is a journal, if you will, written as I am reading the World Book Encyclopedia from cover to cover. This blog begins well into the second year. The actual journal is hand written daily, but for weekends.

H
Well, I have finished the E volume 2009. I am now workingon the H volume since the G volume is circulating. I am pleased that the project is progressing. 18 or so volumes to go. Now, that I will be going to school once a week, I must be extra careful to get up earlier to read the encyclopedia.

Rude nephews
150 more pages till the end of volume E. As I approach the end of the cowl and the nephews' birthdays come around, I am afriad that I must stop celebrating their birthdays and much less send gifts to them. I see the boys as very rude and supported in this rudeness by their father. Gifts I send them are not acknowledged. When I complain I hear, "You don't give a gift and expect a thank you note." One Christmas I sent gifts, oversized stockings hand-knit. It took me two years to knit these stockings. I heard nothing. When I visited and asked about the stockings, the father opened a bag (they had obviously not been hung by the fireplace) and asked, "Are you talking about these?" Recently, I sent an e-card to one nephew and left him a cute little phone message on his cell phone. I have heard nothing-no "thank you", no "I got your message", nothing.
I disagree with the way the boys are being raised in this regard. I feel taken for granted. I no longer want to go out of my way to do nice little things for them.

English Lit
I have just finished reading English Literature entry. Really, fascinating stuff. I have about 150 more pages to go before I move to Volume H.

El Salvador
Today's last entry was El Salvador. It was interesting, especially the history. I read about Harlan Ellison and Ralph Ellison, too.

Weekends Quiet
The Encyclopedia Project is on hiatus on the weekends. Tomorrow is Monday and I will be back in the saddle reading the E Volume.
I wonder how much more I will have to read per day to complete the project by next year.
I spent sometime in the library finding names of media contacts to whom I can send a press release. One week in October, I don't remember, is mental health week or day.

Vancouver Mental Health Camp 2010
I just finished following the Mental Health Camp in Vancouver on TweetChat. I am almost finished reading the F volume of the 2009 World Book Encyclopedia. Next volume E. Volume E was circulating when I was looking to read it earlier this year.
Plan to contact NAMI in New York about my project. Maybe raise some funds.

I just spent an hour on TweetChat about boundaries and mental illness. I was good. I am grateful for my brother, our ability to communicate well, my church, and prayer.

I have my hands full with the PR. I am in the library researching newsletters to send a press release to.
